Modèle:Menus-Ceanataur Shogun Terre

This Article lists all of Terra Shogun Ceanataur's moves and attacks from every Monster Hunter game it is present. Attack damages may vary depending on the hunters' status and equipped Armor.

MHF2 and MHFU AttacksModifier

Walk-Back Ailment Inflicted: None
Normal Mode
When the hunter is first spotted, the Terra Shogun will walk backwards towards him or her, homing in slightly. Not particularly dangerous, dealing only low damage and moving slowly, but if the hunter is not paying attention it will knock the hunter a moderate distance. When the Terra Shogun first uses this attack, the eye symbol will not appear, making it easy not to notice this attack coming.
Rage Mode
No significant differences.
Evasive Maneuver
To avoid this attack, the hunter simply moves to the side. Attacking the Terra Shogun will cause it to stop and turn to attack, causing the eye to appear and making the creature fully aware of the hunter's presence.

Dig Ailment Inflicted: None
Normal Mode
The beast burrow underground, then either wait there a few moments then resurface or turn towards the hunter, move to be under them, and resurface, it's head coming up and claws swinging down on the ground just in front of it. It will sometimes repeat this several times in succession. This attack deals medium to high damage, and can destroy shock traps by resurfacing below them.
Rage Mode
No significant differences.
Evasive Maneuver
The Autotracker skill is useful here, as it shows Terra Shogun's location underground. If the hunter has time, he or she should put their weapon away and run in a large circular direction around where the creature burrowed. If the weapon is still out, just keep rolling for speed. This is easier with the Autotracker skill, as the hunter will be aware of when the creature is about to resurface. If the hunter's equipment has the capability, this attack can be blocked.

Frontal Slash Ailment Inflicted: None
Normal Mode
A common move, the Terra Shogun will lift one of its claws in the air and swing it back down into the ground in front of it, dealing high damage to its target. It's claw will be stuck in the ground for a few seconds afterwards, the force of the swing wedging it in the earth.
Rage Mode
In rage mode, this attack is faster and deals greater damage, with increased range as well.
Evasive Maneuver
This attack only covers a small area, the area hit by its claws. Simply roll to the side or block and you will be safe. Since the Terra Shogun's claw is stuck for a few moments after the attack, it is open to attacks.

Claw Rake Ailment Inflicted: None
Normal Mode
The Terra Shogun will lift its arms into the air and, while pulling inward, slam its claws into the ground in front of it, dealing medium damage to those too close.
Rage Mode
In rage mode, this attack is faster and deals greater damage.
Evasive Maneuver
To avoid this attack, the hunter should be at the sides or behind the Terra Shogun. If he or she are in front of it, they should quickly roll away or under its legs to dodge or block if able.

"Hugging" Slash Ailment Inflicted: None
Normal Mode
The Terra Shogun extends its arms out to the sides, then swings them inward in a 180° hugging motion while stepping forward, dealing medium to high damage to anything in in front of or right beside it.
Rage Mode
Due to its claws unfolding, this attack has greater range in addition to higher damage dealt during rage mode.
Evasive Maneuver
This attack can be difficult to avoid, especially in rage mode, due to it giving little warning before the attack and covering a fairly wide span in front of the Terra Shogun. If the weapon allows it, blocking is a good option. If not, the hunter need simply roll under the carapaceon's legs. Rolling directly away from it is not advised, as the created steps forward when attacking.

Side Slash Ailment Inflicted: None
Normal Mode
The Terra Shogun will simply lift one of its arms and swing it down and in front of it, dealing medium damage to anything on that side or in front of it. If the hunter are not right beside it, the Terra Shogun may start off this move from a further distance, scuttling over to the hunter's location and then swinging.

There's also a rarer variation of this move, where the Terra Shogun will lift its arm and move in a U-shape away from you, coming back at you from the other side and attacking. This move is significantly faster than the former.

Rage Mode
Due to its claws unfolding, this attack has greater range in addition to higher damage dealt during rage mode.
Evasive Maneuver
The hunter should roll under the Terra Shogun's legs to get behind it. As with the "hugging" slash, this attack has a significant range, even greater when in rage mode. Blocking is essential, if the hunter is able.

Spinning Slash Ailment Inflicted: None
Normal Mode
The Terra Shogun extends one of its claws and quickly rotates 360°, knocking back and dealing high damage to anything close to it. This attack has less range than the "hugging" slash and the side slash, but deals higher damage with more knockback.
Rage Mode
Due to its claws unfolding, this attack has greater range in addition to higher damage dealt during rage mode.
Evasive Maneuver
This attack, as previously mentioned, has shorter range than other attacks, but there is no safe place near the carapaceon, making the only way to avoid damage rolling away from the creature or blocking.

"Lawnmower" Ailment Inflicted: None
Normal Mode
It will spread it's arms strait to the sides, similar to how it prepares for its "hug attack" but instead of closing them it will move forward, dealing medium to high damage to whatever hits its body or claws. It will chain this attack up to three times, taunting afterward.
Rage Mode
Due to its claws unfolding, this attack has greater range in addition to higher damage dealt during rage mode.
Evasive Maneuver
This attack can be difficult to dodge, blocking being the preferred method. The best option is to for the hunter to roll under its claws and keep moving so when it turns to attack again he or she is out of its path.

Water Beam (Ground) Ailment Inflicted: None
Normal Mode
Folds up its arms in front of it and opens the Black Gravios skull on its back, blasting out a beam of water that hits the ground a distance away. Will sometimes rotate its body, causing the beam's direction to change with it. Getting hit by this attack will knock the hunter back a significant distance and deal high damage.
Rage Mode
No significant differences.
Evasive Maneuver
Avoiding this attack is relatively simple. Guarding is convenient, otherwise the hunter need simply move out from directly behind it when its shell opens. Since there is no sign whether or not it will rotate, the hunter should move away from the beam either directly away from the creature until the hunter is out of range or in a semi-circle direction to be at the creature's side.

Water Beam (Ceiling) Ailment Inflicted: None
Normal Mode
While on the ceiling, the Terra Shogun will open up its shell and do one of two things. It's first option is to move in a strait direction while blasting a water beam, its shell swiveling causing the beam to zigzag. It may use this attack several times in a row before stopping.

It's second option is to, while stationary, fire out a water beam that spirals out from beneath it, making three circular revolutions each larger than the previous. Getting hit by either beam will deliver high damage to the hunter.

Rage Mode
No significant differences.
Evasive Maneuver
To avoid the zigzagging beam, the hunter should move to the side and out of the way. If it is too late for that, the hunter may be able to roll under it while the beam is at the side. For the spiral, the hunter should either move far away from beneath the carapaceon or wait until after the second revolution and get beneath it.

Landing Move Ailment Inflicted: None
Normal Mode
The Terra Shogun will fall from the ceiling, turning in mid-air and landing rightside-up on the ground, swinging its claws down as it lands, dealing high damage to whatever it lands on.
Rage Mode
No significant differences.
Evasive Maneuver
To avoid this attack, the hunter must simply avoid being beneath the Terra Shogun's shadow as it crawls on the ceiling.
